  Introduction


  1. Threshing: Beating stalks to free grains
  2. Winnowing: Separate lighter and heavier components of a mixture by blowing air.
  3. Sieving: Separate components of different sizes by filter.
  4. Sedimentation: Heavier component in a mixture settles after water is added.
  5. Decantation:  When water is removed along with lighter component.
  6. Filtration: Pass mixture through a filter paper.
  7. Evaporation: Water is vaporized by sunlight.
  8. Condensation: Water vapor cools down to water.
